Swimming Pool Closings
Pristine Pools professionally and thoroughly closes your pool at a great price because we understand how expensive it can be to not only take care of your chemicals but also paying for services such as weekly maintenance, pool liner replacements or repair and even opening your pool can be an added expense. Our goal is to be the best swimming pool company in the Durham Region but also to be the most affordable pool service as well.
The first step is to skim and vacuum your pool, clear out the suction and return lines and drop the water level of your return lines. All of this in inclusive to our service. Some other pool companies offer these as additional services.
Thereafter we plug the return, suction and equalize your pool lines (this is done with a foam rope that is placed in the returns and equalizing lines and a Gizmo is inserted in the skimmer. Doing this ensures the best possible opportunity to close your swimming pool the proper way.
We then carefully remove the deck equipment and store it in your preferred location.
Next step, we shock your swimming pool with sodium hypochlorite (22 litres). Sodium hypochlorite breaks down into multiple different chemicals once it is added to your swimming pool water.
Sodium hypochlorite, when its in its liquid chlorine state, is the simplest chemical for pool sanitizing because it has already been diluted appropriately and can be added straight to your swimming pool water. Most of the time, you'll just pour the directed amount into your skimmer, and keep the pump running to distribute it.
Two of those chemicals are hypochlorous acid and hypochlorite ions, which both destroy bacteria and oxidize the water.
Thereafter, the water bags and pool cover, safety cover or clip in cover are reinstalled.
