Pool opening steps we take

We drain and then clean the pool cover
If you have a solid tarp winter cover, we will drain the water before removing it completely. We place a pump on the cover and let the pump do the work as we remove the leaves and let them dry before bagging them and taking them to the curb. This lessens the amount of debris that can fall in the water and will make for a much easier an smoother opening.

We then remove the pool cover
We then remove the cover from your pool. We will then be shocking and cleaning your pool

We clean and store the pool cover until winter
After removing the pool cover we lay it out, soap it up and brush away all of the remaining debris and clean the cover with soap and water. We then fold your pool cover up and leave it to dry, or we will place it where we are asked.

We instruct you on where to raise the water level
The normal level is typically around halfway up the border of your liner, or the middle of your skimmer opening. We will leave your system primed (full of water) so when you turn on your pump operation will start smoothly.

We then reconnect your pool equipment
From preparing your pool for freezing temperatures over the previous winter, we reinstall all drain cogs on all your pool equipment. We then reinstall all things needed for your pump, filter, heater and anything else that have been removed, items removed should be stored and accessible from the winter for us when we arrive for opening.

We then remove winterizing plugs from pool
Fill the underground plumbing back up with water. We then reconnect any return valve fittings if they were removed before the winter and reinstall your ladders with the bumpers on and your eyeballs needed for your returns/jets.

We then turn your system back on
We then turn on most of your pool equipment. We prime the pump and turn on the circulation and filtration system. We then test the heater to indicate if it will need a service. If you have an air relief valve on your filter, we open it to bleed the all of air from your system.
